Mars in Libra: Natal Chart Meaning

What Mars in Libra Means

Mars in Libra asserts itself diplomatically. You fight for fairness and act best in partnership, but direct confrontation can feel uncomfortable.

Mars represents drive, desire, courage and anger. In Libra — a Air sign of the Cardinal modality, ruled by Venus — that energy becomes diplomatic, charming, fair-minded, social.

Dignity: Mars is in its detriment in Libra, which traditionally means the planet is in the sign opposite its home, so its energy works in an unusual, sometimes challenging way.
